Free webinar June 9th 2021 at 1 pm

Developments in the use of drones to solve technical, transport and other socially critical tasks are happening at a incredible speed. Both aviation authorities and manufacturers are constantly developing new solutions to regulate and support the use of drones so that they can operate autonomously with as high safety requirements as we find in other aviation today. By introducing self-guided aircraft for traffic in low airspace, we will be able to solve far more tasks in a more flexible way in the future.

In this webinar, we have gathered a some experts in various areas that cover future user needs, as well as the development of new solutions for control, monitoring and security. Norway has unique cutting-edge expertise to participate in UAM development.

Program:

  1. Welcome
    David Olaussen, NUAM
  2. SESAR AURA – A collaborative concept for the interaction of manned and unmanned airspace users
Markus Brachner, Research Scientist, SINTEF Digital
Every major city has one or more airports in its vicinity that establish restrictions on access to their airspace. These limitations may affect the neighbouring city’s airspace, which has knock-on effects for the development of urban air mobility. The project AURA, funded by the SESAR Joint Undertaking under the EU Horizon 2020 programme, with a consortium composed of air navigation service providers, technology suppliers, and leading research organizations from all over Europe addresses this interaction between ATM and UTM, working on the definition of a collaborative ATM-UTM Concept of Operations that go beyond the existing concepts developed for U-space. The talk will give an overview over the project, and provide a preview, how future U-Space users may interact with manned aviation.
